Abstract

This investigation shows the calculation procedure and the results of the analysis using finite elements of the bench of a hydraulic press. Its objective is to determine if it is capable of supporting the maximum load that said press can generate. When analyzing the results of the calculations, a maximum von Mises stress value of 310.7 MPa was obtained, which is higher than the elastic limit of the material, while the maximum displacement value was 10.2 mm in the wing of the profile in the central part of the beams. After reinforcing each beam, the calculations were carried out again, obtaining maximum stress values of 206.3 MPa with a safety factor of 1.21 and maximum displacements of 2.45 mm, which shows that the maximum force can be used with reinforced beams. developed by the press.
