Abstract

The objective of this work was to analyze the occupational risks to which the workers of the exploitation brigade of the Guisa Silvicultural Business Unit of the Granma province are exposed, proposing preventive measures that minimize or eliminate these conditions. The analysis was carried out through observations in the work environments as well as interviews. Evidence of risk factors was found in all the positions analyzed, highlighting the physical agent, the ergonomic agent with excessive loads, the risk of using dangerous machinery and mental overload, workers do not receive protective measures to avoid illness or accidents when executing forest harvesting operations. And it was found that chainsaws and manual loading activities are the cause of major accidents and diseases within the forest exploitation.
