The labor insertion of university graduates. A conceptual proposal for your analysis (Review)

The systematization of the study of the labor development of higher education graduates, and specifically of their labor insertion, constitutes an essential tool not only to consistently improve training processes in universities, but also to increase the impact of graduates in our societies, favoring their development and professional inclusion. In this area, the Catholic University of Guayaquil in Ecuador and the University of Havana in Cuba have jointly developed various experiences and results. This article presents the results in the conceptual treatment of labor insertion, a basic element for any study on this subject that, in its different contexts, can serve as a reference to establish the key components that allow knowing the state of labor insertion of the graduates of an institution of higher education. For this, the foundations are presented that allow us to understand job placement as a continuous, iterative and holistic process, so that the graduate achieves stability and personal, work and social satisfaction in their occupation / employment as a professional and as dimensions to consider in their analysis: the development of graduates, the university-world of work linkage, the training of the graduate and the integral and personal growth of students and graduates, with their respective indicators, all of which allowed structuring methodological strategies both for diagnosis and for project a proactive action that contributes to its improvement.
