Educación ambiental en la formación de atletas de alto rendimiento: revisión sistemática de la literatura y desafíos para la preparación docente

La educación ambiental en el deporte de alto rendimiento emerge como un campo interdisciplinario de creciente relevancia ante los desafíos de sostenibilidad global. Este artículo presenta una revisión sistemática de la literatura siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA, con el objetivo de analizar las investigaciones sobre educación ambiental en la formación de atletas de alto rendimiento, identificar tendencias teóricas y empíricas, y caracterizar los retos de la preparación docente en este ámbito. Se revisaron 38 estudios publicados entre 2018 y 2026, extraídos de bases de datos especializadas. Los resultados revelan tres líneas temáticas principales: (a) impacto de la educación ambiental en comportamientos y actitudes de deportistas, (b) sostenibilidad ambiental en la nutrición y gestión deportiva, y (c) enfoques ecológicos para la preparación deportiva. La discusión identifica una brecha significativa entre los marcos teóricos de la educación ambiental y la dinámica ecológica del entrenamiento deportivo, así como una limitada integración de la dimensión ambiental en los programas de formación docente. El principal desafío radica en la insuficiente preparación de entrenadores y docentes para transversalizar la educación ambiental en el proceso formativo del atleta de alto rendimiento.
