The goal of this work is to analyze the socio-economic situation of the homes of rural emigrants in the area in question and examine the determinants that caused the departure of their homes in search of better days in large cities within the country or in other states. For this task the analytical, deductive and inductive methods were used, based on an explanatory type of research, using a survey of the rural households of the emigrants from 5 cantons such as: Buena Fe, Mocahce, Quevedo, Quinsaloma and Valencia, that it does a quantitative research, in addition to qualitative by the data provided by other authors and institutions that are dedicated to the generation of statistics.
