Metodología para la atención físico-terapéutica de beneficiarios con hemiparesia (Original)
Abstract
Care for people with stroke sequelae has become more necessary every day, due to the prevalence of this condition in societies on a global scale and even more so, in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic that the world is facing, it is For this reason, this article aims to design a methodology for physical-therapeutic care for beneficiaries with hemiparesis caused by cerebrovascular accident, which allows reducing the sequelae of the disease and achieving their personal, social and work independence. Theoretical and empirical methods were used, such as observation, analysis-synthesis, functional structural systemic, measurement, as well as interview and survey techniques. 19 beneficiaries with hemiparesis belonging to the North People's Council of District #1 "José Martí" in Santiago de Cuba were selected, to whom the strategy was applied with their respective actions for their physical-therapeutic care. Significant advances were achieved in the motor sphere, since it was possible to reduce the sequelae of the disease and greater functional independence, as evidenced during the classes and in the tests carried out.
