Injuries`s Psychology, three decades prodigious: origin, evolution and consolidation (Review)

This article attempts to show the way taken for the most relevant researches in the firsts three decades of studies about sports injuries from the Psychology, with a critical review of the authors shared with the researchers, highlighting the transcendental sense of these researches on: origin, evolution and consolidation of Injuries Psychology. There are including early studies that intend to correlate some elements of personality and injuries, followed by others authors who explore psychosocial variables, until the consolidation on theoretical models, with the Stress-Injuries Model (Williams and Andersen, 1998), as the harder model until this moment, which serves as the basis for a high number of posterior approaches.
